Kira * Special Medical Needs
Gender: Female Age: 8 years - AARB Status: Sponsors Needed
Sponsored By:
Susan Wenner: Wishing you successful treatment & ongoing management in the loving, furever home you so deserve, Kira. Sarah Krempa: A special thanks for the kind hearted people looking out for you! Good luck Kira!

Kira was advertised on Craig’s List as needing a new home as her owners were going into a nursing home.   She was adopted, but that family had an allergic child. She continued to be passed around and was due to be dropped off at our local shelter. A caring vet tech who works there knew that was Kira’s death sentence, and she took her home with her and networked until she came to a Midwest BREW volunteer. As one of our great presidents said, “the beagle stops here,” or something to that effect. Although she was obviously ill with suspected Cushing’s disease, she was welcomed into our rescue, and is now at a foster home getting the meds and care she needs. As soon as the correct dosage of her medication is determined, she will be ready to start looking for a real forever home. Kira is a great dog (though a little sassy), and appreciates your good wishes as she settles in once again.  She is feeling much better!
