Glenda Olszowy: Hang in there, handsome. You'll be fine! Anonymous: In loving memory of Butchie, a special boy who was very loved. Antonella Scarpiello: Hope you get better soon!

Hi there! My name is Rex, AKA Beaglesaurus Rex! Rawr!!! Hee hee! Didn't mean to scare ya!

I was picked up as a stray over the summer and I was pretty scared about life, about people, about a lot of things . . . But, after I had some time to adjust, I've learned that being a pet dog is pretty cool! One word - TREATS!!!! Treats make me very, very happy! Did I mention I like treats? Ok, good, didn't want to forget that. I'm also a huge fan of T-R-E-A-T-S. I love those just as much as I love treats! I don't know why humans have two different words for such a similar thing but who can figure out humans?!? I also really love getting loves and attention and belly rubs! There's nothing quite like a good belly scratch! Toys are fun too but I haven't really figured them out yet. Right now, I mainly like to carry them around with me but foster mom says she thinks I'll get the hang of what to do with them soon.

Unfortunately, when the nice folks at Midwest BREW got me, they found out I was positive for heart worms. So, they took me through the treatment and I've been doing pretty well. I'm still on exercise-restriction but I'll be able to increase my activity level very soon. I have really enjoyed going for short walks and I'm excited that I'll be able to go for longer walks soon and I'm really looking forward to running around like a goof with my foster brothers too. My foster brother beagles really helped me a lot with my confidence and I always feel the most comfortable when there's another dog around. So, if you're interested in a sweet boy who just wants to be loved, ask for Rex! Rawr!
