Sage * Good with DogsWorking on HousetrainingHigh Energy
Gender: Female Age: DOB: 9/1/17 Status: Adopted

Hi my name is Sage.  Just like Sage brush I just blow by in a frenzy. I’m approximately 10 weeks old.  Im currently 6 pounds. My foster mom believes I am a chigle (chihuahua-beagle) therefore will stay small.

I was found after being dumped and abandoned.  For how long I was out alone with my little brother is unknown.  Along the way I was attacked by something and part of my ear is missing. But I’m a very tough tiny girl and hung in there waiting for a forever Family to love me.

I am a ball of energy.  I like to run and wrestle.  I’m very outgoing with a bounce in my step.

I’m working in potty training and told I am doing well. I m working with the crate. I’m fine with my brother but alone I get very upset.  I think because I have watched over him and want to continue to protect him.

With my size I can be perfect for apartment or condo as well as a home.  I would like to have a sibling so I’m not alone.
I have not started leash training since I’m so small.

So if your looking for a true pocket or purse size beagle please inquire about me.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
