Hello, Jeckle here! Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I was owner surrendered with my son Heckle to a shelter in Toledo about a month ago. After not being adopted the great people at Midwest BREW saved us from the shelter and I've been living the good life and loving it in my new foster home! Heckle is living the good life as well in another great foster home, we would be great together if you’re looking for two beagles to love but we are both doing great in our new foster homes separately.

I've gotten to do a lot of fun things since arriving in my foster home, including visiting the dog park. I don't play much with other dogs but it's lots of fun sniffing all around and I've gotten along with every furry friend I've met, which includes foster mom's sassy pants cat. When foster mom says it's time to go from the dog park I come right over. Foster mom also took me to this outdoor mall where dogs are allowed in all the stores, man was I a hit! I didn't mind the attention one bit, from little ones to senior ones I would sit nicely for as long as someone wanted to rub my belly. Foster mom said I did so great she got me a treat from the barkery, which I ate very politely. Riding in the car is a lot of fun too and so are walks! I get a little excited to start the walk, so many smells! I pull a little bit but then I hit my groove and walk very nicely and I potty just fine on the leash. I'm a great door bell anytime someone is coming up to the house and a fabulous greater when you get home from work, other than that I'm very much on the quiet side for a beagle.

Foster mom tried to put me in a crate when she first had me, but I protested loudly AROOOO!!!! Foster mom tried to compromise with a play pen. I pretended it was okay enough for foster mom to go to sleep, little did she know I was just secretly plotting my escape. When foster mom woke up next morning she found me sleeping on her couch, turns out I was just trying to show her I could be trusted just fine in the house. Foster mom has let me free in the house since and I have done just fine. I haven't gotten into the trash, grabbed anything off the counter or caused much mischief at all. Foster mom says she wishes my foster brother was as good as me! Really I'm happiest snuggling on the couch with foster brother or foster mom. Speaking of escapes though, turns out not only can I climb out of play pens but I can dig under fences in no time fast! I'm also drawn to explore the outdoors and do my best to make a quick escape out the door to begin my adventures so my forever home will have to have a close eye on me outside at all times!

Foster mom says I'm really one of the easiest and prettiest foster girls she has ever had but that I have to be upfront and honest. I have one thing that unfortunately I don't think will ever change but my new home has the right to know, so here it is. I snore. That's right it's hard to admit but it's true. Foster mom says she’s confident there is a home out there that will be willing to overlook this. I sure hope so because as of Beaglefest I'm ready to make my new forever home the happiest and most loved home there is!!

Contact Midwest BREW if you’d like to talk to my foster mom. She sure has tons more to say about me!
