Hi everyone! I’m Heidi! I am a little beagle mix girl around 1 year old. I only weigh 16 pounds! I have a cute little Arrooo that I will use once in awhile, usually to join in and sing the song of my people with the other beagles here. People who meet me try to guess what I’m mixed with. Some see chihuahua, a few people have said they see some terrier. My doctor is guessing there’s some dachshund in my ancestry. It’s fun to hear what people think but my past is mostly unknown.

I’m a sweetheart who loves to be close to people. I give lots of gentle kisses and will lean in for hugs and cuddles too. I like to play with the other dogs and the doggie toys here. I’m not picky with what toys, I enjoy them all and take each one to my crate to hide from the other dogs. They all end up in my crate sooner or later. By the way, I’m very comfortable in my crate and kind of like having that spot to call my own to hide ‘my’ things. I sleep all night and will happily share your bed with you if you let me!

I am a high energy girl! I do like to be in the middle of any action that’s going on. I will follow a human on the move just to see what they’re up to and always with my “happy feet”. That’s what foster mom calls my tiny little fast moving steps. I dance circles around her and the other beags. I’m a smart girl too! I can already sit for a treat! I go potty outside, no problem. I do check and test the fence line and with my little size you will have to make sure your perimeter is secure or use a tie out. I could use some more practice walking on a leash but I am getting the hang of it. Going for walks is sooooo much fun!

I’m always excited and ready for a new adventure! Will my next one be with you? Let Midwest BREW know if you’d like to talk to my foster mom about me!

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
