Stephen Lang: Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to my daughter J-Lo from your mom. It was so wonderful to see you again after 7 years!

Hello Midwest BREW! My current name is Abby, but before I was adopted in 2011, I was one of the American Idol pups and I was named after Jennifer Lopez. While I don’t look like a beagle, I swear my mama was a beagle, but we don’t know much about my daddy. My people think he might have been a border collie or a lab because I’m a big girl! I’m between 55-60 lbs, but I’m in good shape though I guess I should lose a pound or 2 or 5—just to be a healthier girl.

I’ve come back to Midwest BREW because of family changes, and I’m looking for a new pack. The perfect family for me would not have small children because I’m an exuberant girl who needs to work on her manners. I just don’t realize how big I am and I get excited! I’m also a bit bossy, so I’d be best in a home without any other dogs or with a dog that is super mellow. I also love attention and don’t always enjoy sharing my toys or my humans. I’m not super high energy, but I’m strong and I love to walk so an active family would be perfect for me.

I do have the beagle nose and my height helps me with some great counter surfing, so my new family is going to need to be diligent about keeping tasty food out of reach. I don’t dig, but I could use a fence because I like to bark at people. I don’t love the dog bed, so I might be happier sleeping with my human or on a couch or comfy chair. I love to play ball and can play for a long time—I have friendly disposition and an adorable face. I might give you the paw to pet me because I love snuggling with my people. My tail wags a lot, and I’m a happy girl.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
