Hi, Marley here, first name Marley, not Bob Marley man; though my nickname is “Snaggle Tooth” due to a lower canine that protrudes forward out of my mouth. I am a beagle/basset mix as you can tell by my ears, and I stand taller and am longer. I weigh in at a svelte 45 pounds. And I have these really cool yellow colored eyes; you have to see them in person to really get the effect.

I am a laid-back boy that enjoys my time on the couch. I will get in your lap sometimes, or put my head in your lap to be petted. I had an owner for a long time but she had health issues and could not take care of me any longer, so my foster family thinks I am still learning to believe in new people, but have really become loving since I have been here.

I have a foster brother that I get along well with, and would do fine with a 4 legged buddy, or being the only 4 legged in the house. I sleep downstairs at night, but I bet I would like sleeping in your room by you or maybe in the big bed.

I am housetrained. I will go to the door when I need to go out, or paw at the door, and even bark to let you know. We have a fenced yard here but my foster family thinks I would be fine on a tie out for potty breaks. I walk fairly decent for a beagle. I do like to go out in the yard and roll around on my back. Sometimes when I come back in I grab a toy and get the mini zoomies.

I am great in the car. I just lie down in the back seat and enjoy the ride, or stand with my front feet on the console to see where we are going. I will use my voice sometimes besides to say I have to go outside, like saying hi to people going by, but am not a big barker otherwise.

I have had the run of the house while my foster parents are at work and I was good. I am also fine being crated. In fact I will go into the crate and take a nap while they are here.

I do have a grade 4/5 heart murmur. But they took some x-rays and my heart and lungs look really good, and there are no clinical signs. And a lot of dogs have a murmur and never have an issue.

So if you want a big loveable boy I am the one for you!!!!

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
