(Ni)Tisha, aka Tish the Dish, is a sweet five-year old beagle girl looking for a family to love, and she's got a lot of love to give.  She follows us, her foster mom and dad, or her beagle sisters everywhere.  One of her adorable quirks is that she loves to look at herself in the mirror and can stay there until coaxed away or one of us leaves the room.

Tisha is tri-colored beagle, with long, lush ears, lovely face, and soulful brown eyes. Tisha also sits on command and is easy to walk on a leash.  When Tisha came to us, she had just been spayed and had some dental work.  Within about a week, after her gums and incision had healed, she was running with our three girls.  She had also tested positive for anaplasmosis, a tickborne disease, and went throught the treatment protocol although she showed no signs of the illness.

She tolerates our littlest dog that rests her front paws on her back to give her a better view of what’s going on. Since she is a joy to have in our home (asking to go out, not destructive, and a gentle dog) it took us a while to notice that she may have some hearing loss.  There is no way to tell how much.  The wonderful thing about dogs is they adapt, and Tisha has done so marvelously.  She fooled us for two weeks!

She enjoys meeting new people and wags her tail easily.  Sometimes she gets so excited, it whirls around.  She is a gentle, devoted soul that makes you feel good just being around her. It’s impossible not to love her and want to take care of her. We believe she would prefer a sibling but could do fine on her own if her family spent most of their day with her. We do not believe she would thrive if the family left her alone all day.

If you would like more information on Tisha, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor right away.

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
