Gender: Female Age: 1 year Status: Adopted

Sondra is a tiny 1 year old female beagle mix. She only weighs about 15lbs. She is medium to high energy and her favorite activities are playing with her foster sister, running and stealing shoes. She isn’t much of a chewer but will pick up shoes and remotes and carry them around. Her personality is equal parts ornery and timid. She can be shy around new people at first but warms up very quickly. Sondra is crate trained and almost completely house trained. She really dislikes being on a leash and hasn’t gotten the hang of leash walking yet. However, with more practice she could probably be made into a walking companion. She doesn’t like to potty on leash so a fenced yard would be preferable.

She is playful with cats and likes to chase them. This is not appreciated by the kitty in her foster home and she would likely do best in a house with dog friends only. She has met and done well with dogs of all ages and sizes. She enjoys playing chase and tug but gets nervous with very forward “wrestle” type play.

Sondra really loves the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog. She has shown no issues with food or toy guarding but has growled if one of her foster siblings tries to steal a bone. Sondra has done well around children ages 2-6 so long as they are gentle. She would do well in a house with kids who are old enough to understand how to behave around pups.

She gets nervous riding in the car but has no issues with car sickness. Sondra loves people food and is a pretty big beggar. She has been caught in the counter in her foster home a few times and her forever family will need to work on these behaviors with her. She is extremely snuggly and loves to cuddle up next to you on the couch.

Overall Sondra is a real sweetheart who would do well in most households. If you value cuddles and kisses Sondra is the dog for you.
