Artie * Special Medical Needs
Gender: Male Age: 3 years Status: Sponsors Needed
Sponsored By:
Lisa Kozej: I hope that enough money is raised so that Artie can have the surgery he needs and be able to have a happy life. Beth and Les Elias: Hope this helps reach the amount needed for your surgery so you can run and play without pain. Cat & Joe Hof: In memory of our BREW beagle, Yogi. We hope this helps sweet Artie get the treatment and surgery he needs, so he can live a long, happy, carefree life!

Artie is the perfect beagle! He is house broken, has not had one accident in our house. He is small, short and compact. He can walk right under our big dogs. He gets along with all our other dogs. He is pleasant and loving all the time, he is constantly wagging his cute little tail!

We have him because he needs some help. He was a stray that was found running in Ohio. At first he was thought to be positive for heartworm, Lyme, and Anaplasma. He had been limping at the time and also coughing. The limping was thought to be from the Lyme and the coughing from the heartworm. Some good news!! He does not have Lyme or Anaplasma, and his heartworm is not that bad!! However, Artie is limping because he needs to have surgery on his hip. Every time he walks it comes out of place, so ideally he would have what is called an FHO, which would help his body form a false joint for his femoral head. Then Artie can run and play with everyone and be even more happy!

You can be part of our efforts to help Artie by making a donation towards the cost of his surgery. He is such a wonderful guy and he will be forever grateful for your help. We have had some amazing fosters before and Artie is in the tops.
