Hi everyone! I’m Lucy. I am just a baby beagle at about 5 months old. I am a very happy girl! I love people and attention. I give kisses to everyone I meet. I am always ready for an adventure with my nose to the ground but we should talk about my energy level...

I have TONS of energy! I am a hound puppy through and through! I am pretty good at entertaining myself when the other beagles are worn out. I love to run and sniff around in the yard. There is another young beagle here in my foster home that likes to play as much as I do and we have a great time together! I follow her everywhere and copy everything she does which means I’m catching onto this house training thing really fast! I am a smart girl and have been learning lots of new things. I have already learned to sit for a treat!

I tend to be a bit on the timid side when faced with strange noises and situations. I do get along really well with other dogs. I am a snuggle bug and will require a lover of cuddles (human or canine!) in my forever family! I just love to nestle in close and will happily sleep all night long by your side.

I already had a good sense about what puppy toys are for and my foster family has not had any problems with me chewing on things I shouldn’t. I really love the antlers and will settle right down to work on one while the other dogs catch up on their beauty sleep. I have begun crate training and I will be the first to admit it is not my favorite place. I do not like to be separated from the other dogs. If they are snoozing in the same room, then I will settle down with a chew toy or maybe even a little puppy nap (yes puppies sleep from time to time!) in my crate. My new home will need to be puppy proof and be ready for all my puppy kisses!

If you think you’re ready for all this fuzzy cuteness and energy, get in contact with Midwest BREW! My foster mom can answer any questions you have about me.

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
