Gender: Female Age: 4 - 5 years Status: Adopted

Shelley is approximately 4-5 years old, but is mellow beyond her years.  We believe she is a beagle mix, likely beagle and some other type of hound.  She is a bit larger than a standard beagle and her estimated weight is 35 - 40 lbs.  She is fantastic on a leash.  She does not pull and completely ignores other dogs as they pass, even if they bark at her.  She is very comfortable in her crate and will wander in on her own.  However she does prefer to sleep in bed with her human at night.

Shelley gets along very well with other dogs.  She has not been tested with cats.  She does equally well with men and women and has been gentle with the kids she’s met.  She is a fence climber, so even in a fenced yard, she requires constant supervision.

Shelley is very affectionate and is most happy snuggling up on the couch with her head in your lap. She does not bark unnecessarily. She does counter surf, but not for food. She steals stuffed animals and cuddles with them like they are her babies.  She has never even attempted to get into the trash. She also does excellent in the car.

Shelley is currently working on commands like "no" and "here". She also appears to be just learning her name. She is house trained but will need reinforcement as adjusts to her new home.  Keeping a consistent schedule will minimize any issues.

Shelley is the sweetest, gentlest baby girl and will be a great addition to the right family.

Please contact Midwest BREW if you would like more information about Shelley.
