Blueberry * Popular Good with DogsWorking on HousetrainingNot good in apartmentsLikes to ride in the car
Gender: Male Age: 2 years Status: Adopted

This is Blueberry, we call him Blue. Blueberry came from a hoarding situation in Kentucky and is a very sweet but shy boy. Sweet Blue only weighs a mere 21 pounds. He appears to be a beagle/terrier mix and has many qualities of both breeds. We have not heard him howl, but he does have a bark when the doorbell rings. He also is not a food hound, so he may keep his slim figure for a while.

Coming from a hoarding situation we have been working on his manners and housebreaking, for example, he likes to climb things like chairs and sofas. For housebreaking we have started tethering him (leash indoors) and that is working well, he also knows to ring the bell by the door. He is smart. We are also working on his separation anxiety. He will need someone who can provide minimal alone time and who really wants a new best friend because he will follow you everywhere.

Blue does not like his crate but will stay in it with another dog or if the crate is next to me while I work. He does settle down if you have to leave or if you are going for a ride, he is very good in the car. He would be happy as an only dog or with a friend, he is definitely a beta his foster-sister will take his bone and he just watches her. He likes to play chase with her or just run around outside. Overall he is a very easy to love boy that will make a great addition to his new family.

Contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor for more information about Blue.
