Hello world I’m Thumbelina.  As my name implies I’m a little thing. I weigh 10lbs currently. I am five months old so I have some growing yet to do. It looks like I’m part chihuahua because I have really cute pointy ears that never flop. They stay nice and straight.

Eating and playing are the two things I love the most.  I play non-stop so another dog to play with would be great but not a deal breaker.  I’m in learning mode right now.  “Sit, no, and nice” are the ones I have mastered.  I love to put everything in my mouth because I’m still teething, lost two teeth this week.  My foster mom puts this long rope on me that she calls a leash.  It’s weird but I get to see what my neighborhood looks like. Chihuahuas aren’t known to be good with kids and I can be a little aggressive when taking a treat so teenagers and up would be best for my new pack.

Housebreaking is still a work in progress. I will pee on a pad or outside but not 100% yet. Someone is home with me almost all day right now. I like to sit by my mom while she works but my foster mom puts me in my crate when no one can watch me. I quiet down after a few minutes and I sleep all night in it by myself.  I’m cute but high maintenance. I need someone who can devote a lot of time to teaching me how to behave and keep up with all my energy.

If you are ready to add a ball of energy to your pack, contact Midwest BREW and ask about me!

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
