Hello All! My name is Sonia, but my Foster Parents call me Sony and Sony Baloney. I have no idea how old I am. I guess I’m somewhere between 5 and 7 years old. You see, I was caught as a stray and can’t tell you about my history. I would if I could speak your language.

I am looking for my furever home and family, but I have some requirements. I must have a very comfy bed, lots of loving, a cuddly lap, lots of loving, long walks, lots of loving, a toy box to empty, lots of loving, and some bones to chew on. I also require lots of loving. If I don’t get it, I will lay my head sideways on your lap and gently paw your hand until you pet, hug, and kiss me.

There are a few things that I probably should not have. I really love to sing “The Song of My People” whenever I see another dog, a person I don’t know, outside critters, when I hear something I don’t recognize, and when I’m playing. I guess I should not live in an apartment or condo. A fenced yard would be great, but if you don’t have one, you will really need to protect your doors because I will try to sneak out at every opportunity.I absolutely LOVE to use my nose and want to be outside where all the good smells are. I can track for hours and you’ll hear me for miles when I find something.

After living on my own in the wild, I do consider small animals to be food. I had nothing else to eat for so long that I had to learn to hunt for myself. Please keep your pet birds, reptiles, or rodents, away from me. They remind me so much of lunch that I will try to snack on them.

I’m learning that I can’t piddle in the house, but I still feel the need to mark some spots. Just keep a close eye on me and remind me if I start to make a mistake.

I don’t mind my crate. I fall asleep when we go for a ride. Because I’m no longer a puppy, I like a post-breakfast nap, an afternoon nap, an early evening nap, and an after-supper nap. I love to go for walks and won’t pull much on the leash until one of those darn squirrels runs across my path.

Foster Mom says I’m really beautiful, especially with the birch bark markings on my legs. She says I’m not a typical food motivated beagle. I won’t try to sneak your food or snacks. I’m just a very sweet, loving girl who needs to find a permanent place to live.

Are you my new family? Please contact Midwest BREW if you think we could form a bond. I really give my heart easily and would love to give it to you after we get to know each other for a week or two.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
