Hi! I am Callia, a beautiful and petite copper and white Beagle girl. I am around 4 years old, and I weigh in at only 20 pounds. I am very sweet, and I really love to get lots of attention from you! I could spend all day getting petted, snuggling and playing!

When I came in to the Midwest BREW program, I had some pain in the neck area, and went to a couple doctors and a specialist. I do have early disc disease, known as an IVDD lesion in C4-C5. I don’t let it slow me down much, but you will have to keep an eye on me. I am not supposed to use a collar; a harness will do just fine. And I shouldn’t be in a home with lots of steps, either inside or out to the yard. A single level home is just what I need. No second floor apartments for me!

I love to play with the other Beagles here in my foster home, but foster mom has to watch carefully, because I am not allowed to play too rough. Gotta protect the neck, you know? I am not supposed to put too much stress on my spine. I am ok with running though, and I do like to run!

Other than that, I’m a pretty typical Beagle. I have a hearty appetite, and I like to follow my foster mom around. She always smiles at me because I am so beautiful! I am learning that housetraining thing and getting better at it all the time. I get along great with the other dogs that live here, and the resident cat too! I feel sad when my foster mom leaves, but I curl up with a buddy on the big Beagle bed and sleep until she gets home. I love to go on adventures in the car, too!

If you would like to find out more about me contact Midwest BREW! I’ll be waiting!
