Little is a beautiful 8 year old beagle mix that weighs 45 pounds and is sweet, gentle and calm. Her daddy passed away and she has been grieving and sad. When he took her to the shelter he told the staff that he was afraid she may never recover from him leaving her. Now that she is in foster care she is coming around and getting used to her foster parents. Each day she seems a little happier but may be shy with new people at first.

She came in to the shelter with another beagle who was adopted so we know she is good with other dogs and has been raised with one. She is great with our 2 senior resident beagles.

She loves her daily walk and does very well on a leash. She does not pull and walks right beside me. We walk a half mile each day. Occasionally she limps and is a little stiff in her hips so she may have a little arthritis. It doesn’t seem to bother her. She enjoys being petted and loves her ears rubbed. She enjoys lying outside in the sun. We’ve not seen her pick up a toy. She is completely house trained and hasn’t had a single accident. She will bark at the door to be let out and then back in. You can definitely tell she was a beloved inside pet and has wonderful manners.

We have an inside camera and while we are at work she sleeps on our bed. We’ve never had any problems with her getting into anything so she won’t need crated while you are gone. At night she sleeps on a dog bed beside our bed.

Little will do best in a calm household with a loving and patient family that will help her to overcome losing her family.

Little has been spayed, had her teeth cleaned, is up to date on vaccines, and micro chipped.

If you can give Little the loving forever home that she needs, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor.

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
