Jake is 10 months old and weighs 29 lbs. He is very much a puppy! He is fairly energetic and playful. He gets along with other dogs though can be a bit Alpha. I think he would do well either as an only dog or possibly paired with a female. Jake does not do well with cats! Jake is doing very well with his potty training. He has had one accident in the last week. He is learning to go to the door when he wants out. He is also crate trained. Though he needs a little encouragement to go in the crate, once he is in he is fine. Jake needs a fenced yard as he is still working on leash and harness training. He is doing better but needs more work. He also rides pretty well in the car. Jake is a very nice boy who loves attention. He just wants a loving home to call his own! If you think Jake may be a good match for your family, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor. NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI). Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy. |
