Hi Midwest BREW fans. Meet LADY!

True to her name, Lady is one of the most calm, gentle and loving beagles of all. She came to us from Illinois and has had several litters of puppies. She’s now retired at the young age of four and is ready to start living life as someone’s newest family member.

Lady is a petite 28 lbs. and fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped. Her vet says she’s very healthy and has a great looking smile. Her coat is very clean and soft and she doesn’t shed. She is house-trained and only had a couple accidents in the first couple days like most foster dogs do. Now she knows to come and get us when she wants to go outside. She doesn’t waste any time, either. When she goes out she does her business and then wants to come right back in. As the weather improves she has been spending a little more time outside.

When Lady first came to us, she was very timid and didn’t quite know who she could trust. She did not like being handled, had never used stairs before, and had never played with toys. Now she will “ask” to come up on my lap, runs the stairs like a pro, but still doesn’t show much interest in toys, however she will run off with a sock on occasion! She is also learning that car rides are fun, being picked up isn’t a bad thing, belly rubs are awesome, and the big bed is the coziest spot to sleep at night.

Lady is a medium energy dog. She gets the zoomies when the mood strikes, but overall she is pretty quiet. During the day Lady usually naps or hangs out with her foster brother. She rarely barks unless something startles her or she wants to come back inside. She also barks when left alone, and shows some signs of separation anxiety; however she hasn’t destroyed anything in any case. This has allowed her to not be crated when we are away (and she does not like the crate at all.)

Lady will need a home that has a calmer environment and can have minimal alone time, and one that can shower her with all the love and attention she deserves.

If you would like to know more about Lady, please ask!
