Hello! My name is Liberty but I go by “Libby”. I am a happy 2 year old beagle mix who loves humans, other dogs, and food! Before I was rescued, I mainly lived outside. Thankfully, I have been able to transition well into living the good life indoors.

I absolutely love to play with my other doggy friends. I also love to play with humans and will sometimes even play fetch -well, at least until I get distracted. I have a lot of puppy energy but my foster mom thinks I am very well mannered for my age and am easily corrected. I’m fully potty trained and I rarely chew on things that are not my toys. I truly try hard to please my humans.

My current home has a fenced in yard which I have access to through a doggy door. It’s the best. I will need to be in a home with a similar set up in order to get all my energy out of my system and I’ll definitely need a dog friend to play with.

My foster mom always tells me that I’m such a good girl. Maybe it’s because I sit and wait patiently under the table at dinner time hoping for scraps or maybe because I go into my crate without any fuss or maybe it’s because I give lots of kisses. She also thinks I’m really funny because I always keep a close eye on her to make sure she evenly distributes food in each dogs’ bowls and I also let her know when it’s dinner time by waiting patiently by the pantry door.

Every morning, my foster dad eats a banana. I know the exact sound of a banana being peeled and I will wake up in a dead sleep, run straight to the kitchen, and patiently wait for a tiny piece he saves for me at the end.  As you can tell, I am very food motivated and will eat just about anything. Yes. Even lettuce.

I love going on walks but I can’t promise I’ll walk in a straight line. I just get so excited about all of the new views and smells.

Overall, I love when my days are spent curling up on the couch with humans or my dog friends. Even when there’s no more space on the couch, I find space by curling up on top of my doggy friend. Thankfully he doesn’t mind.

If you want to add a bundle joy and laughter into your life, I might just be the right dog for you!
