Gender: Female Age: 3 years Status: Adopted

Mercy is currently in a foster home living with her foster mom and dad along with their two beagles and another foster dog. She tolerates the other dogs although she will bark at them out of defense if she feels they are invading her space. Ideally, she would do best in a home without other dogs. It is unknown how she would respond with cats or children. She has been extremely sweet to all humans she has encountered this far.

Mercy knows how to use the doggy door and use the restroom outside but will occasionally have accidents in the house if not on a regular schedule.

She is a very low key dog and will cuddle on the couch all day long if allowed. She enjoys going on walks and exploring new scents.

She is crate trained and will go in without any issues.  She will whine for the first few minutes but goes to sleep shortly after. She does bark when she hears “unfamiliar” noises such as footsteps of people walking upstairs or the toaster.

Mercy is getting better with car rides although she does best on an empty stomach as she does get car sick.

Mercy will follow you around all over your home and will beg you for lots of cuddles. We believe she is trying to steal all the extra love she missed out on her previous life. She is truly so sweet and the perfect lap dog. If you lay her on your stomach, she may just nestle her cute head in the crook of your neck and fall fast asleep.

If you are looking for a sweet, cuddly lap dog, Mercy is the one for you!
With continued care and love, we are confident Mercy will make a great addition to your family.

Please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor if you think Mercy is the companion you have been looking for.

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
