Rujirutana Mandhachitara: Toby, keep fighting! Be strong! Molly Copeland: Wishing him good health and hope he finds an awesome home. Donation in memory of Betty White. Jamie Kudek: Good luck Toby.. much love from Baker, Tighty, And Lucy Lou. Samantha Blaies.

Toby is an adorable, handsome, tri-colored, 1 1/2 year old boy and weighs 23 pounds.  He loves to go for walks and likes to try to catch squirrels but other times he just likes to sniff everything around him. He enjoys playing with stuffed toys, chasing balls and chewing on bones.  Toby likes to wrestle and chase his foster beagle brother and is very gentle with his older foster sister.  He likes to be part of a pack and finds comfort with other dogs.

Toby loves to be by your side, if you are outside, he wants to be outside, if you are inside, he wants to be inside.  He loves affection, hugs and kisses.  He likes to cuddle with his humans and enjoys sleeping next to them and under covers.

Toby is very smart.  He sits and gives you his paw when offered a treat.  His passion is to eat (of course he's a beagle) and that is when he is happiest.  He is a very friendly boy and he likes to be around adults, other dogs and has been gentle with the children. He would be happiest in a home with a furry sibling and humans who are home a lot.

Toby has been diagnosed with diabetes.  He is on a strict prescribed diet and must eat 2 times a day.  He is injected with insulin after each meal, once in the morning and another in the afternoon.  He must drink a lot of water which makes him go potty more often.  Toby is house trained but can tend to have accidents due to the frequency of potty needs and when his blood sugar is off.  Toby currently sees the vet monthly, but when his sugar levels are stable (hopefully soon) he will then see the vet approximately twice each year.  The cost for his insulin is $1.30 per day and his food is slightly higher cost than average dog food.

Don't you want to be a hero for wonderful Toby? He can’t wait to find his furever family and his happily ever after.
