Rujirutana Mandhachitara: Toby, keep fighting! Be strong!

Toby is the most adorable, good and faithful beagle that you have ever seen.  Toby is 1 1/2 years old and weighs 23 pounds.  He is a handsome boy and is a tri-color. He loves to go for walks, he likes to try to catch squirrels but other times he just likes to sniff everything around him.  He is not as energetic as he once was, since he was diagnosed with diabetes. Sometimes he gets tired out and it is nap time. He is a little shy with new people, but after meeting them he is their best friend.  He loves to be by your side, if you are outside, he wants to be outside, if you are inside, he wants to be inside.  He loves affection, hugs and kisses.  His passion is to eat (of course he's a beagle) and that is when he is happiest.

Toby is very smart: he sits and gives you his paw when offered a treat.  He is housetrained. He is a very friendly boy and he likes to be around adults, other dogs and has been gentle with the children. He would be happiest in a home with a furry sibling but the lack of another dog is not a deal breaker.

Toby must eat 2 times a day. He is injected with his insulin after each meal, once in the morning and another in the afternoon.  He must drink a lot of water which makes him go potty more often. Since Toby was just diagnosed with diabetes he is seeing the vet monthly, but when his sugar levels are stable (hopefully soon) he will then see the vet once or twice each year.  The cost for his insulin is $1.30 per day.

Don't you want to be a hero for wonderful Toby? He can’t wait to find his furever family and his happily ever after.

Please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor if you’d like more information about Toby.
