Howdy, my name is Shiloh. I am a happy go-lucky, 6-year-old beagle girl that is full of love and just wants love in return. I am very fun loving and sweet. My foster family says I’m a Lab trapped in a Beagle’s body! When I was relinquished to Midwest BREW, my previous owner said I kept having accidents in the house and was crated for 8-9 hours a day! So right away my foster momma took me to the vet and after just a week in my new foster home, we discovered that not only was I overweight but I have Cushing’s disease. I will always have this disease but it’s very treatable with medicine. And the good news is that I am stable on my current medication! I will need a family that will dedicate themselves to giving me meds for the rest of my life and take me to the vet in 3 months for blood work checkup. This shouldn’t stop me from finding my forever home! Let me tell you, I haven’t had ONE accident in my foster home and have been losing weight! I’m down to 44 lbs. from 49 lbs. and just have a few more pounds to go! I love going for walks, playing with my squeaky toys, running in the yard, and cuddling with my foster family. I know how to sit and give paw and to take treats very nicely. I would do great with other dogs or just as an only dog with my family. My foster mom says that I am great with my canine foster siblings! I haven’t been around cats, but I think I would be nice with them. I am not used to being walked so I do like to run a bit and pull, but my foster dad is working with me to walk calmly, I’m just so excited to go for walks and enjoy life again! If you think your home wants a sweet beagle girl to join it, please reach out to Midwest BREW!
