Gena is a sweet beagle girl that has had a rough time healthwise. She came into the Midwest BREW program in September and was scheduled for a routine spay procedure.  During the surgery, the surgeon discovered some blood clots that pointed to spleen problems. Gena had her spleen removed at the same time of the spay. She was admitted into the hospital shortly after due to vomiting and lack of appetite which caused severe dehydration.

Unfortunately, Gena's troubles are not over yet. She has tested positive for Lyme disease and she is currently undergoing treatment. Once she finishes her prescription, she will be scheduled for another surgery to remove a few mammary tumors.

In spite of everything, Gena's spirits are high and she is full of life. She just needs our help to overcome this rough patch and find the family of her dreams. Can you be Gena's angel?
