Beagle mix

Hi y’all! My name is Chockis but my foster family calls me Chocki with a long E. We don’t know what Chockis means, but it was the name I was given when I lived in Kentucky and I do know it. As you can see in my photo shoot, I am the perfect Bagel. Foster Mom says I have a beautiful beagle head with soulful golden eyes and the quintessential basset body with feet so big I could use them for snowshoes. I’m 3 yrs. young and about 30#.

My favorite things are being outside, playing with my foster brothers and sisters, and snuggling in my peoples’ laps. I love snuggling so much, that I get a bit possessive of my people and growl at the other dogs when they want to join us. My foster parents tell me “NO” and I respect their wishes. I also give out tons of kisses because I love people so much. Foster Mom says my tongue is the size of her kitchen spatula and that I could flip pancakes with it. That sounds like fun!

There are also a tortoise and a bird living here. I really don’t pay much attention to them once I give them a good sniff.I love to go for walks in the neighborhood. I met the neighbor children and love it when they sit down on the ground so I can crawl in their laps and kiss them. I sometimes stop when we are walking and won’t continue until I’m good and ready. I may have seen or smelled something intriguing, and you won’t make me move no matter how much you try. Just deal with it.

You won’t need any lox or cream cheese when I’m around. I have enough love to spread everywhere. I just need my own family. If you’re looking for the best bagel ever, don’t go to the deli. Go to Midwest BREW and ask for a Chockis.
