Hello, my name is Grover! I’m a youngish beagle looking for an active family who will make sure I get plenty of exercise for my body as well as my mind. Foster mom says I’m too smart for my own good—as if this were a bad thing!

I’m very friendly with people but I’d do best in a home where I am the only dog since I like to protect my toys and treats from the other dogs in my foster home. I’m house trained and crate trained, and I bay when I need to go outside. I will potty on a leash, but I’d do much better with a very secure fenced yard.

I had my cruciate ligament fixed (that’s the part of the knee that all the famous athletes need fixed). It’s been a very long recovery with eight weeks of crate rest, and now I’m ready to blow this popsicle stand! My foster family has been great, but I need someone all to myself who is willing to play fetch with my Teddy whenever I want and give me belly rubs on demand!

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
