Hello!   My name is Betty Boop, and I am beautiful mostly black, white, and tan beagle girlie. I am all beagle – nose to the ground, digging to escape under the fence and chase a scent, and I am super cuddler/couch potato.

Currently, I live with my foster family - mom, dad, two teen sisters, and their male 7yr old beagle mix, another Midwest BREW rescue, Murphy. Murphy and I love to go on walks and pull our foster mom in two different directions. She switched to a shorter leash for me that is just like Murphy’s and that seems to keep me from wrapping around her. She says I just need more practice walking and would benefit from some training, and I am all for that. I am very friendly with all dogs and people I have met in the neighborhood.

I am very good at sharing toys with Murphy, and I have not got into too much mischief inside the house. I have not needed to be crated when left alone or at night. I curl up on a pillow on the couch or one of the many dog beds in the house and go to sleep. I sometimes need to go out in the night, so I go wake up foster mom to take me out.

I quickly mastered the dog door but must be supervised at all times as I will dig myself out to chase a scent or critter. My foster family put up a new fence right before I moved in, and I am just helping them “beagle-proof” it. I do have a traditional beagle bay/howl, so I am not discreet when I am on a scent.

I am a super cuddler and will let you pet me as much as you want. Also, I am a licker and sometimes like to nibble on you. I am easily redirected if this isn’t what you like or I am tickling you too much.

I was a super star at the vet, too, and everyone loved me! I can’t wait to meet my family!
