Jefferson * Good with DogsPotties on a leashHousetrainedNot good in apartments
Gender: Male Age: 2 - 3 years Status: Available

Jefferson is a beautiful, 2-3 yr old beagle boy, and weighing around 30 lbs. He turns many heads with his beautiful yellow/green eyes as well as his orange and white coloring. He was found as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past.

He hasn’t met a human that he doesn’t love! His tail wags so fast that his whole body shakes, especially when he knows a treat or a hug is coming his way. He is simply one of the happiest dog you will ever meet.

Throughout the processes of him moving from the dog shelter, then from house to house, he has developed anxiety. His anxiety is mostly associated with car rides and when people leave the home for long periods of time.

He is fully house trained and only chews on his designated toys but will occasionally steal a sock or shoe. He greatly enjoys doing whatever his humans are doing whether that’s relaxing on the couch (he’s a cuddler!) or watching us cook in the kitchen. He is still working on his manners of not counter surfing but is easily corrected. Otherwise, he is trusted with free roam of his foster home and knows how to use a doggy door. He is a more vocal beagle so it would not be recommended to have him in a shared living space or apartment. He plays well with other dogs in the yard and also enjoys a long nap cuddle up next to a dog buddy.

Jefferson is very eager for all the love and attention he can get. I am confident he will bring daily joy and laughter to whatever family he is adopted into.

If you think Jefferson would be a good fit for your family, please reach out to the Midwest BREW adoption coordinator.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
