Hello! My name is Bambi and I am a one year old tri-color 23lb little girl. I came to Midwest BREW after I was found as a stray.

I currently live with my foster parents along with 2 Beagles and a cat. I was really timid when I first came to my foster home but I am learning to trust and have fun again. My mom says I am a snuggler. My foster sisters are older but they play with me and I like being part of the pack. My foster Boo is my favorite. She always gives me kisses when I am nervous and we snuggle. Foster cat Hana won’t play. She hisses at me. We mostly ignore each other. She’s no fun at all.

I sleep on a big, fluffy bed in a crate at night. I didn’t think I liked the crate at first but my mom gives me “good-night treats” and I love my crate now. I am working on potty training and mom says I am doing very well. I know that I am supposed to go out the doggy door but I don’t like rain. I love the snow though. I’m also learning to ring the bells on the door if I want to go out.

I didn’t understand what toys were at first but once I found out that I can make them squeak, crackle and bounce, I hoarded my favorites and try to hide them in the yard under leaves or snow. I also love the big fenced yard and when I am told to “stay” when someone goes out the gate, I “stay”. The truth is, I prefer to stay in the yard. When I have my harness and leash on and we go somewhere outside of the yard, I get a little nervous. Mom says I am doing much better though and she has taken me to the vet and a store that had a lot of toys and treats! I loved it and everyone I met loved me too!

Like all Beagles, I love my food! Each of us Beagles have our special spot to eat and I wait right by my spot for my food. I clean my bowl all the time now and mom says it’s a good thing because I needed to fill out a little.

I like meeting new people and my sisters give me confidence. I would love a home with another dog, a fenced yard and someone that is home a lot. Mom says she knows I will have a furever home soon because I am so irresistible!
