Daniel is a very distinctive and lovable beagle.  As you can see, his coloring is totally unique - a very special beagle. He is thought to be 8 years old, and weighs 33 pounds.  He was found as a stray but we believe he was in a caring home for most of his life. He's housebroken, potties on leash or in our fenced yard.  He sleeps in his crate all night and has full access to the house when we are gone for 3-4 hours during the day.

Daniel is happy when other humans come to visit, or we go to their homes, but equally happy just cuddling with his family on the couch.  He's been gentle with our grandchildren, ages 21 months and 5 years.  He is fine with our very active 2-year-old beagle.  We don't know how he is with cats.

Daniel enjoys his daily walks and does fine on car rides. He likes perching in our grandson's car seat or just chilling on a mat. His long legs make it easy to reach the counters so we keep food out of reach.  Treatments for Lyme disease and parasites are near completion and is responding well.  He is great with the vet and taking meds.  He has some weakness in his back legs but can handle stairs just fine. 

As in the photo, he loves to build a cozy nest for himself with his fleece blankets. He's vocal when he wants to tell you something as in the video, when he is telling us that he's ready for dinner!  But most of the time he's quiet.  A wonderful companion who will be a joy to his forever family.
