Home Our Dogs Adopted Brittany *
Brittany *
Gender: Female Age: 5 years Status: Adopted

Meet Brittany!  Brittany is a beautiful, mild-mannered five-year-old girl weighing about 30 pounds.  She was surrendered to our group because of her owner’s declining health.

Brittany is an all-around near-perfect little girl!  She’s very low-energy and is a couch potato!  Brittany seems to love all kinds of people and doesn’t mind children.  She loves being the center of attention, and she wants to be wherever you are pretty much all the time.  If you leave the room, she will most likely follow.  She’s very cuddly, will sit on a lap for hours, and will be snuggled up every night in bed.  Brittany does not like sharing her people with other dogs, though, and can be a little snippy when a new dog comes into the house, but she eventually warms up.  Brittany seems to be better suited to be the only dog, though.  As for cats, she's only met one, dog-friendly cat who was not scared of her, so Brittany ignored the cat.

Brittany does not like being left alone for long periods.  She does not like the crate when we leave the house.  She will howl and bark for a while, but eventually, she settles down and sleeps.  With that said, apartment life may not be the best for her.  Aside from the crate, or being left alone, she rarely barks.  She’d much rather go in the car, where she lays down quietly and naps.

Brittany has had zero accidents in the house since she arrived about a month ago. She normally goes out about two or three times a day, but she will let you know if she needs to go out more. When she is outside, she likes to sniff, and might bark for a minute or two if she picks up a good smell.

Brittany is current with all of her vaccinations, and aside from maybe losing a couple pounds, she is in very good health overall. Her coat is soft and shiny, and she hardly sheds. She tested positive for Lyme earlier this year, but it has been treated.

A typical day for Brittany is getting up with her foster dad (she likes to sleep in, too!), going outside, eating breakfast, lounging with the occasional toy, loving lap time, chin rubs, belly rubs, eating dinner and then retiring for the night.  She doesn’t ask for much!

If you’d like to know more about Brittany, please let us know!
