Meet Mini. She is a little 18-pound spitfire. The vet estimates she is 3-4 years old.

She loves to run and do zoomies in the yard with her fur friends. She likes other dogs, except at mealtime. She is tethered at feeding time, so she doesn’t steal her foster sister’s food. She eats so fast that she is fed in a “slow dish”.

When she settles, she is a real cuddle bug. She doesn’t want to be next to you, she wants to be practically on top of you.

She is very treat motivated. She has learned the sit command. Of course being a beagle, the stay command has been hard. But she is a smart little dog. She has learned that after she does her “business” outside that she will get a treat from our coat pocket!

Mini is 75% house trained. If she can’t get out she will use one for the 2 training pads we have out. She doesn’t like to be crated when left alone. But she will settle after a short time. At night she does sleep in a crate in the master bedroom with her foster fur sister with no problem.

Mini loves to go for car rides. She is tethered in the backseat and is a good girl. She loves her walks. Oh, the smells! Her nose just takes over her when she walks. She still needs to know how to walk without pulling so much.

She hasn’t found a person she doesn’t like. She is good with kids. But needs to be watch around younger ones because she gets so excited, she jumps and could knock them over. She will do best with older respectful kids.

She would love a backyard to run. A home with a dog with a lot of energy would be great for her. She hasn’t been around cats, so I’m not sure on that. She can be very vocal at times.

So if you’re looking for a high energy, affectionate, fun loving little girl, Mini may be your girl.
