2025 Calendar Contest Rules
Photo Submission:
Photo entry submissions will begin August 12, 2024 and will end at 11:59 pm CST on Thursday, August 31, 2024.
The cost of submitting a photo is $15. There is no limit to the number of photos you can submit, but each photo submitted will be charged $15.
Complete the entry form and upload photos via photo submission link in the red box. See “Tips” for further details on the technical aspects of your submission and for helpful hints on taking good photos.
Entry forms must be submitted online and must be paid in full before the voting phase begins.
Photos must be of your beagle(s). It should not include any people. We are now allowing other breeds of dogs to be in the photos with the beagle(s). You must be the legal owner of the dog(s) in the picture.
Photos must be an original, unpublished work. No copyrighted images will be accepted. Photos entered on the website for voting will be untouched. They will post exactly as they are submitted. We reserve the right to crop/manipulate/re-size the photo for the final printing of the calendar.
Midwest BREW retains the right to use the photos submitted for any purpose, including, but not limited to, the Midwest BREW calendar, social media, and website.
Voting Process:
Voting will begin September 22, 2024 and will close promptly at 8:00pm Central Time on Sunday, October 6, 2024. No late votes will be counted.
All photos submitted that meet the technical qualifications will be entered into the contest. However, Midwest BREW reserves the right to refuse any photo that it deems inappropriate and/or not meeting the requirements.
In order to cast a vote, participants will pledge an amount to their selected dog. Each vote is $1. Voters can post any dollar amount and can vote as often as they wish. Payment will be made through PayPal at the time of the vote and the confirmation from PayPal will constitute receipt for tax purposes. Midwest BREW is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. As a reminder a minimum total transaction of $5 is required.
The top 12 fundraising dogs will be featured in the calendar. Calendar month assignment will be at the discretion of Midwest BREW. As always, we will try our best to use all submissions in smaller photos featured throughout the calendar. The top 12 pictures will be announced by the calendar committee as soon as possible after voting has been completed.
In addition to the 12 winning pictures, several of the other pictures that have received at least 1 vote will be selected via a random drawing and placed in the center of the calendar as honorable mention photos.
The cover photo will be selected from all of the photos submitted and not just from the 12 monthly winner. The selection will be made by the Calendar Contest’s graphic designer and Midwest BREW’s President.
