Update 07/04/25:  Cori just completed a weeks vacation at the kennels and I spoke to the Kennel Manager about her:

He said she was welcome back anytime, she was good with the staff/people and all dogs. Yes, she was a barker and being one of three beagles at the kennels for the week, the three had a good time barking.  Yes, they did settle down!

Cori is a sweet beagle girl with an adorable underbite who recently celebrated her 8th birthday. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, Cori is looking for a home where she can be spoiled again.

Cori would do best in an adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in – she prefers a quieter lifestyle and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori would love to have regular playtime with other dogs and enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori hasn’t been around cats, so we don’t know how she would react to them.

Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked at least once a day (and preferably more) to burn off some of her beagle energy. She is fully house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road!

As for her perfect home: she needs an adult only home, preferably with only one or two people. They need patience because Cori takes time to adjust. She should be an only dog. No idea about cats. She would love a strong routine and to have at least one walk a day. She needs less noise/activity around her home. She has not been reactive to the lawn mowers/leaf blowers, sirens, fireworks or thunderstorms.
