Beagle mix

Hi there! My name is Gia. I am 15 weeks old and I was recovered from a shelter. I was skinny and had fleas but Midwest BREW took me in and I'm growing like a weed.

We are guessing that I am a Jackabea which is a Jack Russel Terrier/Beagle mix. The designer breed name definitely fits my personality. I have a ton of of energy and I love being outside. I'm not great on walks because I'm a home body I prefer being at home.  I don't like being alone either and I love to stay close to my foster mom but I'm not a cuddler. This is true at night too I need to be close to someone.

I'm a puppy and I like to nip and chew but with continued training I'll out grow this.  I'm working on housebreaking still. I currently weigh 13 lbs I'm crazy about food so it's great for motivation but you'll have to watch me that I don't overdo. My foster brother is also a Jackabea he is 27lbs full grown for a guess on how big I might get.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
