Gender: Female Age: 6 years Status: Adopted

Are you looking for a couch buddy who loves attention? Kennedy, aka Kenny, Ken-ken, Beagle Butt, or Beagle, may be your new best friend.

Kennedy is about 6 years old and she loves getting attention from her people. She loves belly rubs more than just about anything else except food (she is a beagle, after all). When it's time for her to take a break from soaking up attention, she loves to snuggle up to one of her people for a good, sound, sleep. She warms up to new people very quickly, too.

Kennedy enjoys her time outside and potties outside without any problems (it's the very first thing she does when she goes out). She does not dig and she shows no interest in jumping or climbing fences. If she hears other dogs, she will "converse" as long as they hold up their end of the conversation.

Kennedy shares her foster home with an 11-year-old female beagle and two cats. She gets along beautifully with the beagle, but isn't really interested in playing or snuggling with another dog. She has chased both of cats, so her foster family recommends that she join a family without cats. She's not at all destructive, although she will investigate all sorts of of items in her search for toys (she understands that "No!" means “it's not a toy”). She loves squeaky toys and enjoys chasing toys and playing tug-o-war with a rope.

Kennedy sleeps on the bed with her people or on a dog bed on the floor. When her people aren't home, she rests quietly in her crate.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
