Donate To Our Beagles In Need
Rescued beagles need your help! Midwest BREW operates solely on the generosity of people like you. Big or small, every donation helps in our ability to care for these animals. We are an all volunteer organization, and 100% of your donation goes to the care of our animals. Please help us provide medical care, spay/neutering, boarding, food, and transportation to these beagles that have been abused, lost, or surrendered until they find their new home. Your support enables us to create happy endings for beagles. Whether you are interested in making a general donation or sponsoring a particular beagle, your contribution will make a difference!
Midwest BREW is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Sponsor a Beagle
Sponsoring one of our beagles is a great way to show your support for Midwest BREW. We rely on the donations of generous animal lovers like you to be able to rescue beagles. In many cases, these homeless dogs require extensive veterinary care—much more than the adoption donation covers. Each beagle that comes into Midwest BREW’s program is brought up to date on shots, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. In addition, we must supply flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, any continuing medication, and occasionally even food until that beagle is adopted. Sometimes they are kenneled for brief time until a foster home opens up. If the beagle needs treatment for heartworm, we provide that as well.

Nana
UPDATE 3/12/25: Nana is currently in recovery on pain medication and doing well. ana needs to recover for one month and then the left mammary chain will be removed. Nana and Midwest BREW thank you!
Nana came to Midwest BREW from a rural county shelter in Ohio. This 10-year-old sweetheart is a very cheerful, social girl who enjoys going on walks and loves the company of other dogs and of cats.
Nana has cancerous mammary masses, and she has a hernia due to her small intestines protruding into her perianal area.
Nana was referred to a specialist who will being doing surgery to repair the hernia and remove the mammary chain, and she will also be spayed. We want to give Nana a chance to live a life of happiness and health for her remaining years, and we are asking for your support to help us offset the costs of Nana’s surgery.
We are hoping for the best possible outcome for Nana, and any support for this sweet older girl would be greatly appreciated.
Russell
Russell has a very serious heart condition that requires surgery – without it, he won’t have the energy or stamina to run and play, or even climb steps like a normal, healthy dog – and his condition will only get worse.
Russell has severe pulmonic stenosis, which is a birth defect in a heart valve that has caused the right side of his heart to become enlarged due to working extra hard to pump blood. Right now, there’s no evidence of heart failure, but he’s at high risk for an irregular heartbeat, fainting, exercise intolerance, eventual right-sided congestive heart failure and possible sudden cardiac death.
Russell has been referred to Purdue Veterinary Hospital for a balloon valvuloplasty, which will involve a specialized balloon catheter being placed into Russell’s heart and expanding the affected valve, creating a larger opening and allowing blood to flow more easily from the heart to the lungs.
The cost of specialized cardiac surgery is significant, and we’re asking for your help so we can give Russell the best possible chance at having a happy, healthy life filled with love and snuggles. No amount of support is too small – every donation that we receive to help Russell will be greatly appreciated.
Minnie
Update 3/7/25: New picture of Minnie 6 days post-surgery! Thank you all for your support.
Update 02/28/25: Minnie had cataract surgery on both eyes. She will have the dreaded cone-of-Shame for two weeks, and four different drops four times a day and two pills two times a day. Through all that she is OK. But we still need your support. Thank You!
Minnie is a sweet 5-year-old beagle that recently came into our program after losing her home through no fault of her own.
In spite of her young age, Minnie has very advanced cataracts in both eyes. If not treated, she will soon be completely blind. As you can imagine, eye surgery is not only delicate but also expensive and we want to make sure she has an experienced surgeon to help her. Minnie now has her surgery scheduled for Feb. 28th.
We want to give Minnie a chance to live a normal life in a loving home. We are appealing to your generosity to help offset the costs of her surgery and post-operative care.
Your contribution is very much appreciated!
Daniel - Multiple Masses
UPDATE 12/13/24: Daniel continues to decline, most notably loss of muscle mass. The ridge in his skull is prominent, and his spine, hips and ribs have begun to become more noticeable – in spite of gradually increasing his food portions.
12/02/24: Daniel’s weight has dropped to 31 pounds, his spine is exposed as well as his ribs. He continues to eat and act normally, but time will tell.
10/23/24: As anyone who has gone through the aging process with their dog knows, there are often difficult decisions that must be made. After extensive discussions with the veterinary surgeon and careful deliberation of the risks and benefits, we’ve decided not to proceed with surgery due to Daniel’s age, cognitive condition (dementia), and the associated surgical risks.
Our focus is on keeping him comfortable and giving him all the love he deserves. Your generous donations towards his medical care are helping to cover the cost of his medications and subsequent veterinary appointments. Thank you to everyone who has supported Daniel. If you would like to contribute to Daniel’s ongoing care, please donate using one the Sponsor buttons below.
