Yury Gimburg: In memory of Bekka and Sophie, two great beagles.

Meet Jake, an experienced snuggler who likes short walks and long naps. He lived with his mom all his life and entered foster care after her passing. He’s done great in his new home and is affectionate, happy and healthy. He does great with our 2 cats, young grandson and our giant-breed granddog as well as every animal and person he’s met.

Jake has an adorable snore due to his elongated soft palate and although he has a cherry eye the vet determined there is no medical reason to correct it. His foster mom thinks it gives him a jaunty look. He is on medication for strengthening his muscle control for incontinence and it’s working great! No more leaks!

Jake prefers to be on the couch instead of in his crate and has learned to sleep on his own bed next to his foster mom rather than in the “big bed”. He loves being with people and has been exposed to many different activities in his foster home. He is great on a leash, potties well on walks and in the yard, and is a joy to be around.

If you think Jake is the guy you’ve been looking for, please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor and ask to speak with his foster mom!

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
