Hello! My name is Cricket. I am a 10-year-old, quiet beagle girl looking for a forever home. My human parents for eight years had to go to an assisted living facility that does not allow dogs of any size. I miss them terribly but would make some family a loving companion that adores to cuddle, take walks and nap a lot. I love to be petted and given ear scratches and will sit in your lap for more love.

I don't eat supper very fast, and I am always hoping to get people food from the table, but I don't beg; I just sit and look sad. I have not raided any trash cans in my foster home and I have never barked but I do cry a bit when I want attention. I am housebroken (although I have had a couple of accidents). Walks are the highlight of my day; I don't pull but I do want to stop and sniff everything.

I am shy and don't make friends quickly but am really good with other dogs. I have never seen a cat but would probably ignore it.

I will admit I am somewhat too heavy at 27 pounds but am losing weight and will soon be fit and trim. Just look at my pictures and see how cute I am. In the first photo, I am the one in the bed; Adina is the one sitting there wondering what is going on because I have co-opted her bed. My foster mom would love to tell you more about me.

NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
