Hi there,

Willis here. I am ready to continue my journey onto my furever home. I don’t know what happened with my first home, but I was found wandering in the middle of nowhere. My toenails were so long they were curled under. And I sat at the shelter for awhile. But that is in the past.

Now to see if your family and I would be a great match, there is one big question to answer. Do you believe in giving never ending belly rubs? That is my favorite thing in life. I will lie on my back for however long you will rub my belly. You can use your hand, foot, or even elbow, as long as I am getting a belly rub.

Oh, and my second favorite thing, sleeping in your recliner!!! Foster dad will stand up, and boom, my chair now!! But I will also give kisses in return!!

There are two other beagles in the house, and I get along well with them. I would like to play but one of them doesn’t play, and when I want to play I will bark at them, and the other one doesn’t like that. We had a beagle houseguest and he and I would play together.

But foster dad and I play chase in the yard. You should see my zoomies as I run around the yard. I have some energy, but am happy to come in and find a place to lie. Under your feet is great as you can rub my belly with your foot. Did I tell you how much I like belly rubs?

I will play with toys some. And I can also be mischievous. I like to grab blankets and drag them into my crate or even the yard. I do get mouthy sometimes, but I quit as soon as you tell me.

I have done well with housetraining here. I will go to the door when I need to go out. But if I do, I do need to go out right away.

They have been crating me during the work day. I bark at first when they leave, but quickly settle down. (Foster dad has a security camera to check on me) I have been left out for a partial day and did fine. Which when you get home I will bark to let you know I am excited to see you. And I have a big bark, so an apartment would not be a good fit.

I like to go for car rides. I follow foster dad into the garage all the time hoping to go somewhere. I just sit or lay in the back seat. Foster dad was told I like walks also. But it has been too cold to do so since I have been here.

You do have to keep an eye on me when you are going out the door. I like to be with you, and go with you, and I am a big time door darter. If you have younger kids you will need to keep on eye on the door.

I would be fine as an only dog, but would also enjoy a buddy that would play with me.

My foster family says I have been a great boy and settled into their home quickly and will be a great addition to your family.
