Gender: Male Age: 4 months Status: Adopted

Hi my name is Kirby I’m 4 months old and as cute as a button and as sweet as puppies come too. I am currently accepting applications for a position as my permanent and loving forever home. My foster mom said that I should tell any prospective applicants about me so that they get an idea of what a catch I am!

First, I am housetrained with a doggy door. My foster mom says that this is huge, and that my new family needs only train me on where to go and reinforce my training to get me to be 100% reliable.

I am also crate trained. I do cry a bit when you first put me in, but then I quiet down and go to sleep. My foster mom puts me in a crate during car rides and I do well there. I am learning how to walk on a leash and I get better every day. My foster mom says that I need to keep practicing because “practice makes perfect”.

I get along with other dogs and I follow them wherever they go. My idea home would have a canine sibling for me. Two of my favorite things are being outside and playing with toys. I am just getting a hang of the toy thing! However, my most favorite thing in the whole world is to snuggle in your lap.

Naturally, being a young pup I am getting my big boy teeth in. My foster mom keeps plenty of chew toys around so that I don’t get into anything I shouldn’t.

In summary, I am a lovable young beagle boy who is sure to fill your life with love and laughter. If you think I’m the boy for you, call your Midwest BREW adoption counselor right away!

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Please read our Standards for Adoption and the information about beagles and puppies before you submit an adoption application. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog that will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements. We discourage the adoption of puppies to families with children under the age of six, since puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets, hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
