Sweetie is an approximately 6 year old 22 pound lemon beagle. She is working on housetraining, not a fan of the crate, and LOVES car rides almost too much as she tries to hang out the window.  Walks well on a leash and will potty on leash. She listens well in the yard and in the house but not when she gets out (more on that later).

She LOVES to be under the cover, blankets, or even a sweatshirt. She ignores our cats and gets along with our other dogs. She will play with them a little and lets them know if they get too rough. She will also warn off any dog who invades her food. She had a mammary tumor removed which was benign and had 3 loose teeth pulled. She still prefers softer foods.

She is super curious and will spend hours sniffing in our wood pile. She found a litter of kittens and even though they are gone, she checks the fence near where they were found daily, sniffs it, and even tries to dig at the fence post.

Sweetie is an escape artist and the new family must be extra careful opening doors and she must always be supervised while in the yard. She got out the front door twice. She is quick and loves car rides so if she thinks she gets to go, you need to be careful she doesnt sneak out. She got out of our fence once. I believe she jumped or climbed. We have chicken wire, rocks, and concrete at the bottom of our fence that was undisturbed so we think she went over.  She of course did not listen while she was running.  She has since lost her unsupervised yard time.  She loves people and snuggling. Shes pretty chill but also likes to be active.

Please contact your Midwest BREW adoption counselor if you would like to know more about Sweetie.
