Hi! My name is Frankie, but hang out with me for 5 minutes and you’ll have at least three nicknames for me. My foster family calls me Playboy now, because I’m very affectionate and playful; I just love EVERYONE. Humans, other dogs… let me meet them all! I’ve yet to meet a stranger. My foster family says that I have been gentle with the children I’ve met too!

I’m a former stray who has hung up my vagabond lifestyle because cuddling and getting fed regularly is SO MUCH COOLER! I’m still everyone’s favorite social butterfly though; a trait that’s helped me adjust to life on the (mostly) inside.

At first, I was a real tornado on the leash, but I’ve already started to get the hang of it. If someone gives me a little more training, I’ll have it down pat in no time. Although I’m still working on my potty training, I’ve gotten pretty good at letting someone know (at least in a subtle way) when I need to go outside.

I also need dedicated toys and chews to occupy my busy self, or else I get into a little trouble… (I “allegedly”, “might” have destroyed a couple of harnesses and my dog bed.) I can’t help it! I admit to some separation anxiety when my humans leave the house. I can’t help that either; I’ve just grown to love being around friends! But my foster parents are working with me on it.

With my young playful energy and laid back demeanor, I’ll enjoy being in a house with a kid or two to call my own, and vice versa.

It would be fun to be around another dog to show me the ropes of how to be a dog! (But I’m also happy to take all of your attention too.) Please let me give you and yours ALL of my kisses!

NOTE: Dogs may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).
