Hi, I am Ernie, an old man who came into our rescue as a stray. I am approximately 10 years old, but foster Mom thinks I am more like 12-13 years old. So if you love a true blue senior, I am the perfect beagle for you! I am the kind of senior that made my foster mom fall in love with the older ones… She says I am a real sweetheart!

I am housebroken, polite, I get along great with the other beagles in my foster family (even the cat), and love to eat and snuggle!! If you want a warm beagle in your bed at night, I am the guy for you!!  I don’t require much activity, but still love to ride in the car and take walks. I know Iam a little slow, but it is just so I can take time to smell everything along the way and enjoy life!! I know how to use the dog door at my foster home and haven’t had any accidents!

I have a few senior health issues that require some medicine every day, but it's not too expensive.
And my back legs are a little weak so a home without too many stairs would be a bonus. The pictures might make you think that I am a bigger hound, but I am actually under 25 lbs.
